Divorce is a stressful time for everyone involved. Even when a couple decides they would be better off living separately, there are difficult issues to deal with during divorce. Another common area of disagreement is child custody. While both parents may feel they are addressing the best interests of their children, they may have different ideas about what is best. Courts will take into consideration what is best for the child and in some cases, the children’s wishes may be a factor.
